It's a great way of filling in a skill / ability / weapon hole in the character. Soooooo many choices yet I find myself using the same ones:
W: Tied for slowest pet. Velociraptor S: 1d4 bite with two 1d6 claws, pounce, fastest pet, is a dinosaur W: Small to medium so only tiny boost and kinda terrible stats (15 STR 15 dex), poor natural armor. Wolf S: Dog that traded STR for DEX and speed, free trip. Also one of the best I've been told.

Lann is a Zen archer to start, so you can build him into a range focused druid. Zen archer 3/druid 17 will get him 9th level spells and allow him to use wisdom for his attack bonus instead of dex. Zen archer 1/druid 19 if you want to go all in as a caster.not to mention the laundry list of immunities that the enemies now have. That tier list is clearly made with unfair in mind, as are all the other guides on that site, so it probably doesn't apply well to hard.
